OVERVIEW
HPE is working to create a more consistent and unified user experience across all of its products. To support this goal, the company is requiring product teams to adopt a centralized Design System. This effort aims to reduce inconsistencies, streamline development, break down silos between product teams, and deliver a cohesive look and feel across the entire product ecosystem.
As a member of the Design System team, I’ve been leading the adoption effort for a product team with 30+ members who collectively own and maintain seven different services. Over the past seven months, I’ve collaborated closely with their designers and developers to audit and map their existing styles, components, and templates to our system. As part of the onboarding initiative, I’ve led working sessions, created quick start guides and sticker sheets, and served as the primary point of contact for all Design System–related support.
